Jacob Ryan '23 Recruiting Profile

I am a student athlete with a focus on self-development, spiritual growth, and serving others.  My goal is to play basketball at the collegiate level while pursuing a degree in real estate/communications.  I am proud of my tireless work ethic, commitment to compete everyday, and my ability to overcome obstacles in life. After my father passed away in 2017 from cancer, I helped launch the Matt Patrick Memorial Foundation 501(c) (3) in his honor and memory.  I do community outreach work, serve others, and facilitate fundraising events in order to fulfill the Foundation's mission of providing assistance to families facing challenges associated with cancer.  I wake up everyday with a mindset to win, and I'm not afraid put in the work to make it happen.  I'm grateful for my coaches, mentors, and family for their support.  I never take anything for granted.  

I'm a senior at Strasburg High School in Strasburg, Ohio.   I am a proud member and co-captain of the Men’s Varsity Basketball Team, a member of the Leadership Team, and a graduate of the Leadworthy Program.  I have served on annual Mission Trips to provide assistance to underserved communities and was a LifeGroups member through my church.  Prior to entering High School, I was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society.
