Mason Wiggins '17 Recruiting Profile

I am the oldest of three boys in my family. My parents have always instilled in us that we could do anything we set our minds too with hard work and dedication. I decided in fourth grade that I wanted to play college basketball. College has never been a question of, would I go or not? My parents, both educators, have always placed a high value on education. They have always taught us to focus in the classroom and in anything else we do. Growing up with coaches have taught me that there is no off season. If you want to be best in your sport, you've got to put in the extra time to give yourself the edge needed to be able to out perform the competition. Obtaining a college scholarship to play basketball is my focus and I'm willing to put in the extra time and effort to accomplish my goal. It is important to me to be a leader, on the court, field, at church, at home and at school. I want to set the standard for my younger brothers, just as my dad set for me, earn a scholarship through athletics to accomplish the bigger goal of a college degree.
