2022 Highlights

Personal Statement

It's my goal to make it to college. I am a gym rat, with a few years of AAU/YMCA ball. In 8th grade I played YMCA ball and helped win an Oklahoma State championship in OKC (14U). My coach was D.A. Anderson. I did not play in 10th grade because of Covid. I'm being raised by my grandparents (adopted me when I was 3, along with my just born sister, and my 5 year old brother.) That was 13 years ago. Didn't play in 10th grade because I didn't want to bring home covid to my g'parents. I am now on the Stillwater, OK high school basketball team (JV). I am 6'1" and weigh 195 pounds. I like to shoot the ball, but a lot more to find the open man. I am Native American. After practices and games I have places I go to for pick up games: a couple of churches where they have a gym, outdoor courts, the Colvin Center here in Stillwater, local YMCA, other towns. My grandparents always have told us kids that we got to have something to fall back on in case sports don't work out...an education. I am 16 (my grandparents started me early in grade school) and will graduate next year when I am 17. I plan on playing travel/club ball all this spring and summer. Just to brag, I once hit for 7 threes in a 9th grade jr. high game. (Of course I have no video to prove it.) I'm just asking for a chance, that's all.

NXTPRO Tournament in Wichita May 6-8, 2022. Lost 1st game 62 -52. Scored 16 pts, 2 rebounds. (Did not practice with team before playing in first game at NXTPRO.) Will have 2 teams this summer to play for. 2nd game in Wichita scored 19 pts and 9 rebounds. 3rd game 11 pts and 5 rebounds. 4th game 16 pts and 10 rebounds.
2022 Stillwater W.G.B. Elite (17U - Coach Jeff Watkins)
Ist tourney of new club season. One practice before entering OKC Fadeaway Hoops (April 9/10, 2022.) Made semi-finals, 12 clubs. Finished 3 wins, 2 losses. 2nd Tourney: 3 practices now - MAYB tournament in OKC on April 30 & May 1. 3 wins, 2 losses. 3rd place finish.
2019 Stillwater Elite (15U / Coach D.A. Anderson)
Started for Coach D.A. Anderson. Played in 15U AAU/YMCA sponsored state championship at the Hive in Edmond, OK. Won the tournament championship. Started. Scored 14 points (high scorer) in finals. I was 13, playing in 15U division. Won tournament in Arkansas same season, for Coach D.A. Article in Daily Oklahoman newspaper (OKC) mentioning our win in OKC finals, and my 14 points. We had no set schedule. We just went wherever Coach D.A. told us to.

Conference game vs Southmoore HS. I played 9 minutes, had 10 pts, 4 assists, 2 steals, 2 rebounds, 1 for 4 FT. Lost by 2 touchdowns, after trailing at half 28-26. After game was named Player of the Game by radio callers.

3rd game of Bartlesville/Conoco Invitational tourney. Played Hirschi HS (Wichita Falls, TX) Won 43-40. Hirschi was state Texas runner up in 4A last year. I had 6 pts, 4 assists, 4 for 5 FT, 1 rebound, 1 steal, and caused 3 charges. Played 9 minutes total.

1st Game of Conoco Invitational tourney in Bartlesville, OK. Played Bixby High in first game, lost 69-66. Had 14 points, 4 assists, 2 rebounds in 16 minutes playing time. Bixby is ranked 10th in Oklahoma 6A Boys basketball. After game local radio call announcers picked me as player of game? Go figure....

Played Yukon High in conference game. We lost. In four minutes of 1st quarter I had 4 rebounds, 1 block, 1 steal, and first basket of game, a 3 pointer from corner. I had one foul and was benched til 3rd quarter when I got in for 3 minutes.

Played Edmond Santa Fe High. Win for us: In 8 minutes of playing time I had: 8 points, 1 free throw, 1 block, 1 3-pointer, and 3 fouls. Benched for rest of game after 3rd foul.

Just finished the Prep Hoops Event in Edmond, Ok, at The Hive. Played three games, and finished with 12, 4, and 14 pts in games. Games were only 20 minutes each. No practices with new teammates, but we did good against some tough competition. Nice facility...three courts, and all games were videoed. Fortunate enough to be chosen one of the Top Performers at event, out of approximately 150 players.

Played 5 games, scored 29 against OK Servants in 79 to 44 win. Went 2 and 3 overall. Tourney won by HD Elite. Lost to them 76 to 69. (Our 79 vs OK was high team score of tourney.)

Entered OK State U's Head Coach Boynton's Team Camp Tournament with my Pioneer teammates. Went 3 and 4 but had lots of fun playing against teams from all over USA. Coach Boynton puts on a great and organized team camp. Attended this camp in 2021 and 2022.

Played with my third team this Spring, High Plains Storm 18U. We went 4 and 1. High Pts: had 8, but had 6+ assists in two games. Avg. 16 minutes a game. Long road trip in a van. I gotta do better next time, whoever I'm playing for.

17U - 11th Grade Boys Championship: "OK Fadeaway Hoops" - Spring Fling

I play for the W.G.B. Elite travel club/team out of Stillwater, OK. This Fadeaway tournament was the first tourney my team entered this spring. We had exactly one practice before the event (6 players), and made the semis (12 teams) only to lose to the eventual champs, The Black Diamonds. We played five games, winning 3 and losing 2.
