Connor Excell '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Connor Excell, I am a 19 year-old student athlete. Since my youth, I’ve founded myself on Respect, Kindness, Charity/doing good, Equity, Humility and Selflessness. To tell you who I am as an individual, these things I tell you next are not from my own opinion, but from the report of others. I am polite to everyone, a hard worker as an athlete and as a person.  To compliment that, I am someone who gives consistent high amounts of effort to anything that is set out for me to accomplish. Additionally, though I am naturally a more reserved person, I’m not one to leave anyone behind in anything. I am someone who is willing to sacrifice their needs if it may truly benefit others. I take pride in picking others up and being a source of encouragement.  If need be, I am a source of knowledge to others, understanding that ignorance and lack of a motive will never be conducive components to personal growth in any field of life. Now with the six virtues listed earlier I know I will be of value, and an asset to any club or team I may be a part of; because in any system, I’m never just thinking of myself. I not only believe in being a great person, amazing athlete and team player, I also believe in going to lengths to secure a good education is key. Education equips me with the skills and authority to communicate effectively with people at all levels. It opens unique doors that would be shut without it. Education and sports together are a sound weapon to destroy negativity and promote positivity and make a valuable contribution to society.
