Christopher Nyakabasa '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Christopher Nyakabasa. I'm a 5'7 point guard of the class of 2025. My family and basketball have been big influences in my life. They shaped the person that I am in many different ways. I started playing basketball when I was 8. I was introduced to it by my older brother. He taught me how to dribble and shoot the ball. That's how I fell in love with game of basketball. Basketball taught me a couple different things about myself. I learned about my sense of leadership and my great mindset. I'm never discouraged by anything bad. I tend to be optimistic most of the time.

I have an academic goal that I planned to accomplish in high school. I want to have over 96%/4.0 GPA in every grade. I know by accomplishing this goals, it will give me a lot of opportunity academically. Last year, I had overcome a lot of mental obstacles to get where I am right now. One of those obstacles was my lack of confidence. My confidence level was very low. I was beating myself down for actions I made during a game. My unique characteristic that I have is my mindset. With the mindset that I have, I feel like I can overcome any obstacles.

Overall, I think I would be able to fit in any circumstance given. During the three years left that I have, my game and IQ will improve to become the best basketball I can be.
