My plan, which continues to be fine tuned, is to enter a college where I can pursue my major of interest that supports my career goals. I maintain a high GPA while taking advanced courses. This has been challenging but rewarding as well. My GPA might not be the best but I do carry a good work load while staying activity in the community and sports. The college I attend should have the resources available to support these interests. It should have the people in place to help guide me and develop me. This applies to both academics and sports. I want to be realistic that I know D1 opportunities are rare. Mix that with the fact I love playing the sport of basketball I do have a tough time going somewhere knowing I might not play. So if a D1 opportunity isn't the right fit I would consider D2, D3 and NAIA opportunities so that I can pursue my education but also get the chance to play the sport I love. By the way I can really see myself being a coach in this sport as I get older. Hopefully I get the chance to play some ball overseas or at levels beyond college. I really feel this will help make me a more round person, player and future coach.
