I am currently a high school student at Sherman County High School. I first started playing basketball at a very young age and it's been my main focus, hobby, and source of enjoyment since. I've had the goal of pursuing a collegiate basketball career for the last few years. I would love the opportunity to continue to play the sport I love while continuing to learn and grow at the collegiate level.
I participate in many basketball events year round to keep improving my skills, whether it is basketball camps, summer league, the high school basketball season, or training in the spring once the season ends. I always want to improve my skills and am great at implementing coaches suggestions to improve my game. I am very coachable and want to improve my skills in any way no matter how small the change may be.
My biggest strengths on the court are my defense, ability to finish at the rim, and my court vision. I strive to be the hardest working person on the team at any time. I will always try to find ways to include my teammates in any way possible. I will always be the first one in the gym and last to leave, always trying to get a couple more shots up. I always want to improve and it makes me very coachable because I want to get better and look to those who have the skills to help me improve.
I'm interested in college basketball not just because of my love of the sport but also because of the opportunities a college education would provide. I am an honor roll student and put the work in not only on the court but also in the classroom. I wish to go down an academic path that leads me into a career of my choice and college basketball would open many doors for me for the rest of my life.
I will be a senior in the 2024/2025 school year. My first season as a freshman was my first experience playing on the varsity level, I was one of two freshmen who played varsity. This last season has been the highlight of my life. My team hosted a state playoff game and broke the school record for the highest win streak. During this season I lead my team in points, steals, and blocks. These stats and team success are what lead me to make first team all-league as a junior.
My goal for after high school is to attend a college that not only pushes me on the court and as a leader but also in the classroom and as a community member. I'm open to any options that allow me to compete at the highest level and pursue a career. I hope to be the best teammate, classmate, and role model
