Basketball has always been my passion, I started playing basketball when I was five years old. I was always playing with the older kids at the park or playing organized basketball. I played up for pretty much every team I've played for. I've played AAU since I was nine, not for the same team, I have played for a few different organizations. I think doing so helped me to play varsity as a freshman and also become a team captain as a sophomore. Being young and having to step up to my team really has helped me take on a leadership role and help my teammates get better and win as much as possible. I feel as I am different from other recruits because I am willing to work hard on the court and off the court and that’s with anything I do. My goals are to be above average in the classroom and to make honor roll every semester. Also every time I step on the court I’m going to push my self to be better then I was before I stepped on. I spend most of my time on the court but when I am off the court I am usually at work at the Bank Street Creamery, or attending weight lifting sessions at school. I go to church every Sunday and help with my community where I can, whether it's doing some drills with the younger kids at the park or helping with our church garden, I recently helped an organization hand out backpacks to less fortunate kids in my community. Some of the reasons I want to go to college are I want to take basketball to the next level and grow as a player, I want to be one of the first people in my family to go to college and go somewhere with sports. Not only do I want to go to college for basketball, I want to get a degree and be a successful attribute to this world.
