Koye Whitman '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I am Koye Whitman.  Currently, I am a high school junior.  I play on the Nazareth Area High School Varsity team and I play AAU for Lehigh Valley Force 2022 National.  I started playing basketball in only 4th grade.  Soccer was actually my main sport.  I started playing soccer when I was 2 years old.  Eventually, I was told by friends and family that I should play basketball because of my height.  I then signed up and haven't stopped since.  Ever since I started playing basketball, I have always wanted to play at the next level in college.  My goal is to play basketball in college while majoring in physical education or elementary education.  I also want to coach a high school basketball team in the school district I work in.  

As a player, I feel like my main skill is on the defensive side and rebounding.  I have been told by my coaches that I bring the energy on the floor and even on the bench.  I always encourage my teammates on and off the court. Basketball is my passion and I do anything and everything I can to make myself better.
