Jake Babic '14 Recruiting Profile

I have spent the last 3 seasons at Appalachian State and played in all 90 D1 basketball games coming off the bench and as a starter. Playing in the 12^th ranked and very athletic SunBelt conference, combined with a non-conference schedule that Ken Pomeroy rated the 28^th toughest in the country, against such teams as Duke, NC State, Tennessee and Davidson…I am experientially ready and eager to spend my final year of eligibility to help a team challenge for their conference championship and ultimately a chance to play in the NCAA tournament.  My height at 6’5” and skill set has allowed me to play the 1, 2 or 3 these past seasons and I am looking for that fit academically and athletically to finish up my undergrad work.  The plan is to transfer and red shirt for this upcoming season while graduating early in December 2017 to complete my degree in Communications.   This will allow me to begin post grad work and to complete my final year of D1 competition beginning in September of 2018.
