My name is Floyd Hargrove. I am a 5’11 junior point/shooting guard from Ridgeland, SC. I have started as a Captain on the Hilton Head Christian Academy’s varsity basketball team for 3 years. I have earned All-State Rookie first team as a freshman, and All-Region Honors the past two years. I currently have a 3.9 GPA and will be taking my ACT on February 9, 2019 and SAT on March 9, 2019.
At the end of my 7th grade year, I transitioned to HHCA where I have been the last 4 years. I know what consistency and sacrifice mean because I still currently live in Ridgeland and have a two hour daily commute to and from HHCA. Playing basketball has taught me how to be a leader and adapt to unfavorable circumstances. My sophomore year, 4 of the 5 senior starters decided not to play, so I was quickly faced with being a floor general along with a team captain. I really got interested in basketball growing up watching my oldest brother play and ever since then, it has been a dream of mine to play college basketball. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program.
