Every day I work as hard as I can to improve in the classroom, in my life, and on the court. During quarantine, I have been driven to continue to learn and improve. If I am bored, it’s no one’s fault but my own. My typical day included agility, shooting, and drills, followed by class work and new hobbies like learning German or playing guitar. In the afternoons, I helped my mother with her online business, and then worked out again by lifting weights and shooting.
My ultimate goal is to earn an advanced degree in business and play basketball at the highest level I can compete at. My hopes are to one day open and run my own business, but I would love to continue to give back to my community by coaching youth basketball players and helping them achieve their dreams. I have learned so much about basketball and life through my coaches, that I would also like to have that sort of impact on a young athlete. I try to be an active leader through leading by example, this is much more my style, rather than directly telling someone what to do.
I understand that being a good teammate goes far beyond my actions on the court. My choices about how I act and live my life have an impact on my performance. I am the type of person to show up first and leave last.
