As a student athlete, my goals are to receive a quality education while competing at the next level and to be the best player that I can be. I am also willing to work to get there, on the court and in the classroom. I believe that I have the work ethic, talent, and potential to be a difference maker for someone at the next level.
Since I was young, I have been active in sports, playing baseball and basketball. On the baseball field I always had excellent control as a pitcher, which translated over to the basketball court, helping me to become a left handed weapon from behind the arc. I also love to practice. Even since I was just 5 or 6 years old, I would practice shooting basketball in the driveway often for an hour and a half or more, even in the freezing cold and pouring rain.
As a person, I love deep discussions, theological conversations, and learning. I enjoy studying the Bible and cherish my relationship with God and my personal walk with him. I love to learn, whether it be English, science, history, or especially basketball. I began to focus on learning basketball and getting better after my sophomore year and began improving dramatically since then. I realize how much basketball is a mental game and want to learn all I can about how to be a better player. I know that I am not yet a polished basketball player, and I seek to improve my basketball IQ and skill set as I continue to mature. I am confident my best basketball is ahead of me, and I can become a real asset to the basketball team wherever I play.
