Christopher Deanes '11 Recruiting Profile

My name is Christopher (Chris) Deanes, I am a transfer student-athlete for the 2014/15 basketball season. As a red-shirt Sophomore, point guard for the 2013/2014 season at Washburn University, I played in 24 of the 27 games, and started in 12 games. For the season I totaled 33 assist, 38 rebound, 16 steals and 4.8 points/game.  As a starter I averaged 20 minutes, 8 points, 2 assist, and 2.5 rebounds.  I am interested in a school that provides a quality education. I have completed 60+ credit hours towards a Bachelor of Science in Business/Marketing. I am interested in a basketball program that will incorporate a two guard style of play. My basketball skills, ability to run a team, and ability to get to the basket provide the option of having two point guards on the floor, as well as, the traditional point guard and shooting guard combo. My strengths are leadership, hard-nose defense, mental toughness, and working hard in practice and on game day.
