Have you ever wanted to be so great that you are willing to do any and everything to get there? I know I am. My name is Michael Neal III. I am a rising sophomore at Kipp Collegiate High School. I am 16 years-old. My collegiate goals are to one day graduate college with a bachelors degree in Athletic training or Audio production. I love to help people workout and train. I want to help kids that can't get the proper training they need to get to be at the next level. I love making music because it clams me. One day I wish to open up my own studio and have a label for any kind of music.
I believe that I'm a good candidate for teams I play for is that I put everything I got on the floor. I give 100% in practice(workouts), scrimmage, and games. I show very good leadership skills. I dedicate my high school career to my Grandmother that died on the 4th of July. I had always told her that she was going to see my play one day and we were gone make it to the next chapter. I played my heart out for her this year. This year I was team captain of my basketball team at my school. I show great leadership skills on the court, but in the classroom I did a alright job, but there is room to improve. Basketball has been my passion since I was 9. I played football for a little bit, but a setback cause me to sit and change my sport. I realized I was a good player my 7th grade year when I was playing AAU summer ball; Since then my game has grown a lot. I am a point forward that can rebound very well. This year I averaged 22 points, 4 assist, and 11 rebounds a game. My strengths are that I have a fast first step to get to the basket, I believe I can play at any position at my height. Over the years, the thing that makes me different from others is that I have had a mindset to not be outworked and be great. That mindset has helped me a lot on the court and in the classroom as well. When I step on the court I lock in and get the job my coaches wants me to get done. If it's rebounding, scoring, or defense, I'm willing to do it all. One thing I can say about myself is that I learn from my mistakes. If someone tells me to work on any part of my game, I'm bugging my parents or my coach to get to a gym or a park. My weakness is my outside shooting. I'm working on the part of my game. I have dedicated my all my time to work on that.
I have a 2.07 GPA. I'm striving to get that 3.5 GPA. The best I have done on a practice ACT is a 22. My intentions for this school year is to spend a lot of time in study halls and tutoring sessions. I would like to thanks my coaches from middle school and high school for giving me opportunities and the courage to do good things. I want to thank my parents for everything they have done for me.
