My name is Lorenzo McCray. I am a 6'3 student-athlete born in Chile. I was raised in the US, and as a result, I have become bilingual. I have played basketball for years, and my passion for the sport is unfazed. I enjoy not only playing the sport but studying it as well. On the court, I can facilitate and, at the same time, defend almost all positions. Basketball has opened plenty of doors for me. It has granted me the possibility to travel to countries like France and learn about different cultures. It has also helped me develop in controlling my emotions and managing pressure. On the court, I try my best to give my team an advantage on defense and offense. I don't back down when playing, and winning is one of the factors that keeps me running. But the winning does not stop on the court. Academically I want to learn and thrive in all my courses. With my 4.0 GPA and desire to learn, I believe I will succeed at any level if I put in the same effort. For the past eight years, I have lived in Chile. I arrived in the US in 2022, august, therefore, I have become late for the college process. Getting on track is one of my goals. As of now, I am a senior in high school, and my biggest goal is to take my skills and experience to the next level in college.
