Upon graduation, I have committed to continuing my academic and playing career at Hampden-Sydney College in VA. (DIII).
I always strive to push myself in order to be the best I can. I love being on a team and knowing that I can contribute. I am vocal both on and off the court, and have earned praise from my coaches for encouraging and leading my team mates. One of my favorite things about any sport is the fact that I can say not just, ”I scored that point” but that “I helped my team win”. Knowing I contributed makes me feel energized; and sports, and especially basketball, is the perfect arena for creating this feeling.
The academic subjects that interest me /that I intend to major in are Film Directing, Art, and/or English Writing. The part of Film and English I find the most intriguing is creative writing and story-telling, specifically fiction and poetry. I believe that writing poetry brings out creativity in people and allows you to show your thoughts to others in memorable and imaginative ways.
