Kristopher Brown '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'8" post and power forward basketball player from Fort Worth, Texas and will graduate in the 2012 class. I have started on the Richland High School varsity team for 3 years and this year was selected the MVP of the Lion's Club Tournament. I also play with the Court of Dreams (COD) Elite AAU Team and was selected MVP for our summer league play. I am a dedicated and dependable young man and committed to excellence; and have a strong desire to compete on the collegiate level and start as a freshman player. I have a 3.5 GPA and ranked 214 out of 548 students. Ideally, I would like be a member of a midsize or large institution where I can find the right balance between the classroom and the court. My potential majors are Entrepreneurial & Small Business Operations; Athletic Training & Sports Medicine; or Sports Fitness Administration & Management. I am interested in leading on and off the court and making a positive impact for not only this generation but for generations to come. Financial assistance is a very important factor to me and my family in the college selection process; as my family will have high financial needs. This was one reason that I cofounded the "Toys from Jocks" program at my high school and sold candy to raise money to buy presents for disadvantaged families. I would be willing to travel farther to school with less out of pocket expense. I pursue healthy athletic performance by being a leader on and off the court. I am diligent in being healthy in body, mind and spirit. I am committed to training 365 days a year; to break new ground and create new records of achievements that will become my future standards.
