Losing in the Utah State Champiomship game by 1 point my freshman year was one of the worst feelings ever. But I feel as though if I had not lost that game, I wouldn’t be growing into the player I am today. The following season (sohomore) I was able to win my first state championship and be a huge contributing factor.
These experiences have allowed me to strengthen my mental toughness, learn the values of leadership, increase my character, mature, and be able to be the team captain and lead my team to another region championship this year and be predicted #1 to repeat and win state again. I believe I am growing into a player ready to compete at the collegiate level and make an immediate impact on the court and in the classroom.
