Look no further, I am one of your “Big Men!” After taking the ’15-‘16 Utah 4A State Championship in 2016 with Olympus High School, I took my skills to Pierce College in Tacoma, WA, where I was their top ’16-’17 6th Man, averaging 8 ppg, 5 rpg & shooting 60% from the field. After Pierce College I chose to serve a voluntary two-year LDS (Mormon) mission in Argentina, where I matured, grew another inch and became fluent in the Spanish language. Since my return, I signed with Southwest Oregon Community College under Coaches Hopp & Grandinetti for the current ‘19-’20 Season. I am the starting C/F, averaging 12 ppg, 10 rpg, 1.2 bpg and shooting over 35% from the 3-pt. line, 75% from the FT line & 60% overall.
Both of my parents enforced good study habits, outside service to give back to our community and solid extra curricular activities such as my Eagle Scout. Academics is a large part of who I am. Basketball is a ticket for a collegiate education and a way for me to give back to the school of choice. I study hard and make getting good grades a top priority. My basketball prowess coupled with these attributes of hard work, honesty, humility, service and always projecting a positive attitude are what separate me from many other deserving candidates.
I am a 3.5 student and attaining a 4.0 this current term. I am focused on completing my associates degree in General Studies & Science. I am interested in pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Engineering and/or a Sports Medicine related field, with the hopes of going onto Medical School or Physical Therapy School. I am a very principal centered leader on and off the court and don’t deviate from my core values. Discipline and leadership are key ingredients to my success as a student athlete. I know I can be an added benefit to your D1 program and help our team get to the next level in the coming year.
