My name is Jordan Hawkins and I play basketball year round. I play school basketball at Union 32 High School, where I have been the starting point guard on the Varsity team my Sophomore, Junior, and senior year. I play AAU for Lone Wolf Athletics, Vermont's top program. In between those two seasons I attend basketball camps, such as Point Guard College. I also play Summer League basketball for U-32 and get into the gym as often as possible. My primary position is point guard but I am also able to play the 2 guard or 3 when needed. I think that my ability to attack the basket helps create shots for myself, but also for my teammates as I penetrate and look for the assist.
In April of 2017 I was able to travel to Scotland and Ireland with the New England Colonials and got the chance to experience a different style of basketball. The up-tempo style of basketball was a good fit for my game and I thrived playing over seas. Overall, my Colonials team went 6-1 over the course of ten days, against some very good club teams; The Ongar Chasers and the Falkirk Fury to name a couple.
This winter I received awards such as Allstate honorable mention, Vermont Basketball Coaches Association Dream Dozen, Capital League 2nd team and Times Argus 1st team.
2019: Nominated for Gatorade Player of the year (results are not yet in). Scored my 1000th after 3 years on varsity scoring almost half of those this year. , had a career high 40 point in 2 games. I am averaging 27 points per game.
