I stress the fact that the game of basketball will hopefully bring me the fortune of becoming the first person in my family to attend and finish college. Ever since I started playing the game, I knew that playing collegiate basketball was what I wanted to do. To be able to play for a college and make my family and country of Canada proud would be a dream come true. As I stated previously, I would be the first person to attend college and finish if I were lucky enough to receive an athletic scholarship. This itself pushes me beyond limits of average athletes who may have the luxury to attend college because of financial freedom that my family and I do not have.
As an athlete with the passion and love for the game of basketball, I bring forth intensity off and on the court, striving to make team mates better and myself better in all areas of life and the game. One thing I stress most is the idea of unity and family on and off the court as this creates a better basketball and college experience. I am a vocal leader on defense and offense and am not afraid to step forth and take charge in tough situations. I am coachable and that is seen through my attentiveness during practice and attention to detail in training. I am a versitile player and have taken roles as the scorer, shooter, 6th man, etc. The versatility comes from my ultimate passion for the game and need of being on the court. I will always find some way to make things happen on the court no matter the task. I come from a large basketball background playing for the Ontario Provincial Team for U15 and U17, traveled to play internationally (Brazil at the age of 15), Canada Basketball Identification programs, and previously playing for CIA Bounce.
