I started playing basketball when I was 3 years old and it has always been my favorite sport. I first played organized basketball on the Middle School team while in 3rd grade. I had become a pretty good shooter and I have played against older players for my entire school career and also in the AAU every year. I have a lot of confidence in my shot and I always want the ball at the end of the game when the outcome is on the line. In 6th and 7th grade I had difficulties getting playing time on my AAU teams because the other kids were taller, quicker, older and played better defense. It was frustrating for me and I had to work really hard to get better. Then I grew from 5'8" to 6'5" and added weight. As a freshman on the High School Varsity, I became one of the leaders on the team, both on the court and off. Coaches and teammates respect my basketball IQ and like the way I conduct myself.
I hope to play basketball at the college level . My main goal is to grow and develop as a player and become a part of a team. I really enjoy a high level of competition and being pushed to be my best. My academic goals are to make the A/B Honor Roll every year in high school and get a Master's degree in whatever major I finally choose to pursue in college. I know I have to work on my weaknesses and turn them into my strengths.
