Thomas Helmick '15 Recruiting Profile

For the 2013-2014 Basketball season, I started several games as both the Power Forward and Center. I contributed both offensively and defensively in addition to being a leader on the floor. I am dedicated to working hard this off season to improve my skill set and be even more of an asset to the team. I have started a personal journal with my goals that I have set and write in it each day what I have accomplished. I will be attending several Tournaments with our school team this summer including the NC State team camp and several Elite Camps.

My class room accomplishments have been taking Pre-AP classes and I am in the upper levels of Math. I completed a placement test recently to take dual enrollment History next year and qualified for dual enrollment my senior year. I am currently working towards earning my advanced diploma. I am currently taking Latin and will have completed 3 years upon graduation. I work very hard balancing sports and maintaining my grades. The classes I am currently enrolled in and plan on taking are preparing me for college and I will have college credits upon graduation.

I plan to attend a 4 year university upon graduation and continue playing Basketball at the next level. I currently play two sports, Basketball and Football. In addition to playing both sports, I work out with a personal basketball instructor. In the off season, I balance both Basketball and Football by attending lifting and conditioning sessions as well as attending open gyms. I am willing to travel if necessary out of state to continue my career and pursue my dreams. As an individual I have a competitive nature and am constantly challenging myself by setting goals and working hard to achieve them. I feel that I have the dedication and desire to become a successful college student both in the classroom as well as on the Basketball court.
