Hanish Gajula '23 Recruiting Profile

I've been taught my whole life that there is no "I" in team and therefore I always look out for my team and teammates before going for my own personal accomplishments. I am a non selfish player ,who always looks for the open man. I am a very coachable player who takes in all the advice and tries to put that advice into my game. 

I am a student athlete who wants to play division 1 basketball with also the highest academics. I believe I can compete with the best competition with my hard work and dedication.  I've been blessed with my coach/trainer/mentor, Coach Louis Gibson, he has played division 1 basketball and also played 8 games with the NBA team Houston Rockets. My training with him has primarily been focused on being a killer playmaker first and ungradable scorer second. 

Through my basketball career so far I've been exposed to many great teams and players and there was never once in my life where I wouldn't go toe to toe with another good player. I think with the basketball I've been exposed to I have a good sense of all game type situations such as late game scenarios, coming out the gate strong, and maintaining a lead.

I believe that there is still more for me to learn and experience in my journey of playing division 1 basketball but one thing I can guarantee any coach  is that I will always give 110% in everything.

This year I have made my all district second team and honorable mention for defensive team.
