I'm a 2023 All-Cardinal District 1st Team and 2nd Team All Region athlete. I was top two in 3pt FGM in the region with 75!!!! My team won district for first time in school history and made it to the Quarterfinals of State in Class 6 basketball in Virginia as only senior starter. I was selected Co-MVP of my HS team, Honorable Mention for All seniors in Northern VA area quoted by Novahoops.com "Winston Raford can shoot it as well as anyone", and DMV Elite All Northern Virginia Honorable Mention 22-23.
I have been playing competitive basketball since 4th grade. My goal has always been to play at the collegiate level. I have strong ball handling skills, strong hands (been able to palm a basketball since 7th grade), and a high IQ for the game of basketball. I am a team leader and coaches' son and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players for any team I am a part of.
Off the court, I study hard and and ensure I maintain good grades.
My goal is not just to be an athlete but to be a scholar athlete. I want to attend a university or college where I can excel in the classroom and also make a difference on my basketball team. I do want to find a school that matches my aspirations which may change a bit throughout my high school life. I have a strong support team in my family and parents that keeps me humbled throughout this journey to be able to participate at all levels of the game of basketball.
