- Being a varsity hockey player freshman year, it was during the summer going into Sophmore year that I really desired to play basketball. I have been through weight lifting training and conditioning every year at the school during the summer months, as well as school months.

He finished around the basket well, is a good shot blocker and is long. One college wanted him to work on his footwork while another raved about his size and ability to run the floor. He is a good athlete that is talented all around. He has strong post play, defends well, has a solid IQ and rebounds the ball. Good passer that is fast and blocks shots. Good defender. (Saturday 9/30/12) Washington, DC (@ Boyds, MD) - Twelve teams consisting of one hundred and twenty players competed outside DC in Boyds, MD at the Discovery Sports Center. In general, this event registered a bit short on upper echelon talent, athleticism, maturity, size, and the overall skills normally sought at the upper levels of college play. There was, however, no shortage of intensity, hustle, or potential as those with the desire to improve their game sought to do exactly that. The prospects for greater competitive successes was not lacking, but was evidenced by the aggressive play of participants on nearly every team. Defensive intensify stood out, especially. Eleven (11) campers earned ScoutsFocus commendations at the 3-Stars-Plus level, while nineteen (19) graded out at 3-Stars. There were, however, forty-one (41) players who garnered our 2-Stars-Plus designation, demonstrating the generous developmental potential many at Boyd's possessed, and highlighted by their enthusiastic efforts. 3-Stars-Plus....
