Class of 2017
I've loved basketball all my life. I've been watching and playing since I was a baby because my dad is a coach. My basketball IQ is high because I have been around the game so much.
I've had two dreams since I was a kid: 1) to play high school basketball for my dad and 2) to play college basketball and earn my degree. The first dream came true last year as a freshman. All my years of competitive and travel AAU paid off as I averaged 12.5 points a game, and was voted 2nd team All-League. I'm looking to improve on this during my sophomore season.
This summer (2014), I was the leading scorer on my travel team, Eastern Washington Elite Blue (15U). We won both of our local tournaments and then went on to compete very well in Bellevue, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. In LA, we made it to the Final Four, losing only to the nationally-ranked #6 Oakland Soldiers. In Las Vegas, we made it to the final 8, losing to the GRIND Indy Hoosiers, the #1 ranked 15U team in the nation. Both those teams went on to be the tourney champions.
I am committed to academics, and currently have a 3.98 GPA. In college, I'd like to study something science or math related.
I believe in encouraging and supporting my teammates. My faith gives me strength in tough times. I am an outspoken leader on and off the court.
