SoutsFocus Elite 80 Evaluation: Ricky Bell 3rd, of Seattle (WA), is a talented 5'9 150 lb prospect from our E camp, that our college coaches identified as having potential. Ricky has a good wingspan and should use it to their team's advantage on defense in addition to having good size for position. The player does a fantastic job of distributing the basketball and seeing the floor. The player is always anticipating where and when teammates will be open. In terms of ball handling, it was one of the strongest aspects of the player's game. The player has a deadly handle and does a great job of using it to their advantage to put pressure on the defense. In terms of basketball IQ the player was one of the smartest players we saw at camp. The right play was almost awlays made, and that will be a big advantage in recruiting. Abig part of IQ is shot selection. Ricky does almost always shoots the ball with great space and rhythm. This advantage will continue to develop by watching how this is done at the college level. Theprospect showed they were a dead eye shooter throughout camp. that will continue to develop with form shooting and repitions at game speed. The talent did a tremendous job of finishing around the rim. With great touch and composure with both hands, the player was a sure bucket around the basket. The talented player is an exceptional athlete proving to be an advantage on both ends of the floor having athleticism that is in the upper quartile of hoopers. We determined strength to be one of best qualities as a prospect. Combined with the player's solid frame that will to continue to build in the offseason, the player will be physically ready to play at the next level. The talent has a non stop motor that reallly impressed our coaches during camp. and from what we saw, the player had a physical and mental toughness that coaches at the next level will love.
