Personal Statement

I am a student-athlete. Student comes first. I understand I need to take care of my studies before I can ever step foot on the court. I know my grades are on the edge so I am extremely looking to improve them within the next semester.

I am a point guard. I am known to be a very coachable player. I listen to coaches instruction with ease and can show it on the court. I am a excellent ball handler and I have a great vision to see the floor and find the open man. My shooting is in progress (from behind 19' 9") but my floater is one of my strong suits. I continue to improve all the aspects of my game. I am a team player who wants to win more than anything. I am scrappy and take pride in rebounding as a guard.

Apart from basketball I am very involved in volunteering at Church and I play Varsity and Club soccer at a very high level. I believe both of those have helped me progress. Church has given me character and diligence, and soccer has given me tactical thinking and vision on the court.

We would like to see him continue to develop his speed and his jumper. He shows the ability to see the floor well and hit his teammates cutting to the rim for easy baskets.

ActivitiesCOMMUNITY SERVICE: Burch community services- Working in 2 hour and 4 hour shifts for a local gleaner, hauling food, cleaning up, etc. Have done this 10+ times in the past year. Planted Trees in Salmon Creek, WA. 2014 Babysit for Bible study groups for church. Vacation Bible School- Six Week long Bible school for kids. Floated and helped every department possible. Set-up Tear-down. around 20 hours each time. Evergreen High School- 4 8 hour days. Running the scoreboard for youth tournaments. Running concessions stand. Mexico outreach- Two Week long trips, Built a house for a family. Unified sports soccer referee - Was a soccer referee for the Special Ed kids.
