As a small guard in the middle of nowhere, I know that I am at a major disadvantage from my peers. However, this does not deter me from striving to achieve my goal of a collegiate scholarship for basketball. There are many who have come before me with similar disadvantages, yet have proven themselves to the world and I plan to add my name to that list. What sets me apart from other recruits are my grades and my size. When recruiting, size can be a major determining factor in which player a coach decides to invite onto their team. However, I know that my size will become irrelevant due to my skills, athleticism, and drive to be the best basketball player I can be for any college who offers me a spot on their team. My grades back up my truths of hard work and aiming for perfection in all aspects of life, for the best players tend to be the ones who are the most well rounded.
