Hello Coaches, my name is Tyler Robie, I am 16 years old and a junior at Pomperaug High School, of Southbury CT. I have been a diver for three years yet have made rapid progress, and I am continuing to progress in the off season and for my senior season. As a freshman, I had made States and SWC's, yet states were cancelled due to Covid-19, that was my first season diving. My sophomore dive season, I had made great strides, I had made states and SWC's in just my first meet, also shattering my freshman PR at the same time. When conference championships came I walked away as an all conference diver, states were once again cancelled due to Covid-19. My junior season was quite a success as well, one of my best athletic seasons I’ve ever had out of any of my sports. This season I made states and conference championships within my first meet. As the season progressed I continued to make great accomplishments, learning new skills and improving little things within each dive. I ended the season with a new PR of 260.10 points, shattering my previous PR of 241.35. I also ended the season with a first place medal for my conference championship with a score of 398.35 and a podium spot at 6th place at class M state diving championship with a score of 347.00. For my first state competition I would consider it a great success and something to remember. I am heading into my senior season as the captain of Pomperaug swim and dive team which has always been a goal of mine, to be captain. I hope to make great strides in my next season and hopefully spark the interest of you coaches in the near future.
Thank you,
Tyler Robie
