2023 SpotlightPersonal Statement
I am very hardworking and tenacious in the classroom and on the golf course. I give 110% to both my studies and golf game. I have excellent leadership abilities and will always set a hardworking and winning attitude for myself and teammates.
My goal is to achieve a collegiate golf scholarship and excel in my academics but also push myself to play golf at the highest level with aspirations of playing professional golf after college.
Playing on a collegiate golf team and representing a school would be a huge honour and is my primary goal
I am focused on achieving. I have always been a multi sport athelete. I competed in various track and field events with great success in long distance running. I played REP AAA ice hockey for 12 years at the highest level and had some amazing team experiences before hanging up the skates full time for my true passion, golf. I enjoyed playing a team sport , it taught me a lot about teamwork, commitment, hard work and sacrifice. My true passion is being on the golf course, rain or shine playing the game that I love. Golf has given me confidence, inner strength and mental toughness. It has also taught me about the important life qualities such as respect, etiquette and honesty. I pride myself in being someone who represents these important values in all aspects of life.

- Shot 75,75 (150 total) Par 72, 6400 yards. Course had a lot of dog legs and water along with the windy conditions. I hit my driver extremely well both and had solid approach shots. My putting was not up to par both days, especially on day two, I hit 16 greens in regulation.

- Shot 73,74 (147 total) Par 70, 6500 yards. Placed top 20 in the National level event. The course had very narrow tee shots because of the dense tree line. I used my 3 iron for most of my tee shots.

- Placed tied 6th (shot 81-73 154 total) Yardage 6605, Par 72. Course is difficult and very tight. Had a tuff day one all around. The second day I shot the second lowest score all day. My ball striking was solid and could have been a really low round if the putter was going. I missed 4 birdie putts from 5 feet and struggled with my putting confidence.

- Qualified for the Notah Begay III Canadien National Championship at The Kanawaki Golf Club. Placed 4th-Shot (81,74 total 155) par 72, yardage 6818.

- I attended the Henry Brunton Golf Academy for 5 weeks to work on my game during the winter and received excellent coaching from Henry himself.

- Placed 4th- Shot (79,75 total 154) Par 72, yardage 6470. Links style course that had winds gusting to 35km/hour. Didn't have my best two rounds and battled through the wind.

- Placed 1st- Shot (76,73 total 149) Par 71, yardage 6373. Wind was outrageous gusting over 50km/hour. First day I struggled with putting and speed control. My ball striking being on point helped me with the windy conditions.

- Shot (77,75 total 152) Par 72, yardage 6801. Placed tied for 27 In Alberta's strongest competition. I did not play very well through these 2 days but managed to scramble and not give up.

- CJGA Team Canada Euro Cup
- 8/09/23 to 8/11/23
- Selected to play in the u19 Euro Cup in Scotland with Team Canada represented by the CJGA organization. We played Team USA as well as the local Team Scotland. I played very well in the event witch was in a 3 ball matchplay format. Both the first and second day I shot under par and ended up winning 2 and tied 2.

- Placed tied 6th- (70,81 total:151) par 71, yardage 6400. This was my first tournament of the summer after being inside the whole winter. Was in 1st place after day 1 but had a tough round on day 2. I struggled with getting my putter hot throughout the 2 rounds.

- Shot (74,72 total: 146) Par 72, yardage 6390. Placed tied for 5th in the u15 division out of Alberta's best competition.

- Placed 1st, shot 71 (1 under par) par: 72. Won the u15 division and 1st in the overall tournament.
