I have been playing golf for 3 years, and tournament golf for only 2.5 years. Over that time, I have achieved much, such as winning the Phoenix Metro Jr. Championship and the Tucson City Championship, both in the 15-18 age group, helping me to a second place finish in the 2016 JGAA Player of the Year standings. I have a great work ethic that allows me to improve quickly and has resulted in an exceptional short game. As I gain more experience and continue to grow (right now weighing only 115 pounds), I am confident that the added distance and experience will enable me to excel at an even higher level.
Presently, I have a 3.94 unweighted GPA (4.35 weighted) from a top, private school in Phoenix while taking mostly honors and AP classes. I scored in the 99th percentile on my PSAT this past Fall.
I practice/play golf nearly every day totaling approximately 30 hours a week. When not playing golf, I spend time on community service efforts, including an Annual Charity Wiffle Ball Tournament that I started four years ago, raising nearly $20,000 in that period. As well, I volunteer for The Miracle League of Arizona and other organizations.
Over the next couple of years before collegiate golf, I plan to play in more prestigious tournaments where I can play against some of the best in the world, continue to develop my game to reach my full potential, and, of course, achieve high marks academically. All in all, I am a strong candidate to play collegiate golf because of my ability to play golf at a high level while excelling in the classroom.
