Personal Statement

My name is Cade Streeter and I am currently a senior at Mountain View High School in Tucson, Arizona. I just completed my senior season of high school golf posting a top ten finish at the AIA Division II State Tournament (68, 75). I realize that my current key stats may not be those of a typical recruit, but I see myself as a unique recruit. I am relatively new to golf as I started playing in the spring of 2020. The Fall of 2021 was my first competitive season as a member of the high school golf team. I was able to put together a strong season mainly playing out of the 3 position. This Fall I served as team captain and competed out of the 1 position while qualifying for the state tournament. Over the past calendar year I played a busy tournament schedule through the JGAA and SAJGA. During this time I have experienced continuous growth and improvement moving my scoring average in tournaments down to 73.0 this fall and my handicap to .9.

As a newer player, I am not sure what my maximum ceiling is as of yet. While I have experienced rapid and steady improvements, I am hoping to find a coach and program that is interested in helping me to continue my development as we identify what my maximum potential could be together during my college years while competing for team championships.

While it is my intention to immediately compete for a spot in the regular rotation, I also realize that it may take some time before I earn the opportunity to play in the regular rotation and contribute to our team's overall success.

I look forward to connecting with a coach and program who are as excited about this opportunity as I am.

  • 3/25/23 to 3/26/23
  • 72, 74 (2nd)...Returned to JGAA to finish 2nd overall. Encanto is not a particularly difficult course although the winds and hard greens created some more challenging scoring conditions. Overall, I played fairly well. Had a little difficulty in getting into a rhythm as I felt like I was scrambling most of the weekend. I was pleased with the 2nd place finish in a field of 70 golfers.
  • Camp/Event
  • AGA Championships - AGA
  • 3/16/23 to 3/17/23
  • 76, 74 (MC)...I was pleased with my two day performance while playing in my first Arizona major tournament outside of junior events. Ended missing the cut by one stroke. I was a little inconsistent off the tee on the first day which cost my a couple of penalty strokes. Came back on Day 2. Totaled 7 birdies or better over the two days.
  • Camp/Event
  • NEW YEAR'S CLASSIC-SAJGA
  • 1/14/23 to 1/15/23
  • 73, 71 (1st)...Came back from 3rd place after day 1 to win the New Year Classic. Had a really consistent two days playing 29 of the 36 holes at par or better. I was pleased with my day 2 performance as strong winds and steady rain had the scoring averages increase overall.
  • Camp/Event
  • Crooked Tree Holiday Classic
  • 12/03/22 to 12/04/22
  • 74 (2nd)...Rain soaked weekend saw the tournament reduced to only one day. Played pretty well in the wet and windy conditions carding three birdies and finishing in solo 2nd with a decent field.
  • Camp/Event
  • Arizona High School State Tournament - Division II
  • 11/02/22 to 11/03/22
  • 68, 75 (T8)...Finished the State Tournament in the top 10 after carding 10 birdies over the 2 days. Played really well on the first day posting the second lowest score of the day. Struggled to get comfortable on day 2, but grinded and scrambled my way to a top ten finish to close out the high school season.
  • Camp/Event
  • Patriot Invitational
  • 10/07/22 to 10/08/22
  • 72-77 (1st)... I picked up my first tournament win on what proved to be a difficult course. On Day 1 I was able to convert some birdie opportunities on the way to an even par round. My score on Day 2 was a little disappointing, but the windy conditions made for a very difficult day. The 77 was actually the low score of the day. Overall I had a consistent couple of days.
  • Camp/Event
  • Mustang Round Up
  • 9/23/22 to 9/24/22
  • 39-74 (3rd)... While Day 1 was shorten to a 9-Hole event, I was able to put together a couple of solid days. I had two really good ball striking days and rolled some putts on Day 2 as I shot -1 on the back nine leading to a T3 finish for the tournament.
  • Camp/Event
  • Flowing Wells Invitational
  • 9/16/22 to 9/17/22
  • 78-75 (12th)... I was able to put together another two solid days in a real competitive field . Overall it was a solid ball striking weekend although I struggled to cash in on birdie attempts only netting three over the two days.
  • Camp/Event
  • Southern Arizona Invitational
  • 9/09/22 to 9/10/22
  • 78-76 (9th)... I put together two solid days. On day two I navigated around an early OB penalty and triple bogey to put together a pretty good round behind a couple of key birdies on the back.
  • Camp/Event
  • PHOENIX CITY JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP
  • 7/21/22 to 7/22/22
  • 78-76 Despite some hot Phoenix summer days, I was able to put together a couple of good ball striking days. I was just unable to convert birdie opportunities ending the tournament with only one each day.
  • Camp/Event
  • TUCSON JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP
  • 7/18/22 to 7/19/22
  • 76 - 64 Put together two good rounds of golf including three birdies in a row on the second day.
  • Camp/Event
  • MILT COGGINS JR / JR WORLD QUALIFIER #2
  • 6/07/22 to 7/08/22
  • 78 - 75 Put together two solid days. Played the front one under over the two days, but struggled with ball striking each day on the back.
