Tyler Pinney '12 Recruiting Profile

I have grown up in Conway, Arkansas my whole life. I am 6'1 and 165 pounds.  I love to fish, hunt, and am currently active in my church youth group, but one of my greatest passions has always been golf. I have been playing golf since I started walking and began playing in tournaments around the fourth grade. I have played in many tournaments around my state. My most memorable tournament was in Mt. Home where I shot 4 under on the back nine to finish 2 over for the round. I have won 2 out of the last 3 years of my Jr. Club Championship including a 68, 4 under. I have played 3 out of my 4 years of my highschool golf career on varsity not including my sophmore year. My freshman year we won our 7A State Championship and my senior year we won it again where I made All-Conference and All-State with a 74-70. I have always been a leader, outgoing, and easy to work with. I am addicted to the game and it is a major part of my life. I would love to continue it by playing at the collegiate level. I would like to stay in the southern states do to the year-around play and it is closer to home. I am open to many types of colleges including Christian. I would like to keep my options open so that I have a variety of choices. My academic passion is to follow the major of Business. It has been ever since I started highschool. At the collegiate level, I would like to play as a freshman because I believe I could make an impact for the team, but I want to play at the best school that fits me.
