I’m fairly new to competitive golf, but have developed a tremendous love for the game over the past 2 years that not many other people have which can be seen with the time and sacrifices put into golf. I see through the lens of being so young to the sport that I've come so far in such a short time period, that with the opportunity I could keep getting better at a great pace. I play high school basketball and have another great love for a great sport, but completely transitioned out of baseball my Junior Year to enable me to focus on golf and the time to work on my game.
I started in 2020 when COVID lockdown happened and averaged 94 my first year of High School Golf. As a self taught golfer with no lessons for the first two years of my High School career, I scoured for new information and tips to better my game. Now headed into my Senior year, I have had a couple lessons with Head Pro Brannon Watson at Arkansas Golf Center. Since beginning this journey I have gone from shooting in the low 90's at first to mid to high 70's in just two years with only two lessons.
I love the challenge and satisfaction of improving my game with Justin Moore (Vilonia High School Coach), Brannon Watson ( Arkansas Golf Center), Tommy Rutherford (Cypress Creek Golf Course Club Pro) & enjoy putting incredible amounts of time into developing on the range/ course by applying the things learned from my coaches.
In 2021, my second year playing golf, the Vilonia High School Team competed in the 5A West Conference Championship at Cypress Creek Golf Course (Cabot, AR). Additionally, we made the State Tournament and competed in the 5A State Championship at Mystic Creek Golf Club (El Dorado, AR).
My best 18 hole score 74 (+2) was shot at Cypress Creek Golf Course on July 23, 2022 and August 4, 2022.
At the 5A Central Conference tournament at Cypress Creek Golf Course in Cabot, AR, I shot 81 which would've qualified me as an individual for State. The Vilonia High School team qualified as a team and playing at Hurricane Golf and Country Club in Bryant, AR.
