Ian Gaborek '18 Recruiting Profile

Coaches,

I would describe myself as a very focused, hard-working, passionate, down-to-earth, and a determined individual. My father introduced me to the game of golf when I was 9 years old and at that time I was instantly drawn to the game and knew this was the sport I was destined to pursue. Currently, I’ve been primarily focused on refining my whole game to try and achieve consistent lower scores. My focus has been on improving my mindset on course management for any given hole. It’s a never-ending process, but I continue to work hard on my swing for consistency in ball striking and ball flight as well as devoting a lot of time to my short game. I’m one to take in as much as I can and I’m always eager and open to learn what I can from my coaches, peers and other professionals. Besides preparing and playing for my High School team this upcoming year, as the team’s captain and number 1, I plan to play in a number of junior tournaments this coming spring.

I’m excited to take on the next step to collegiate golf and look forward to being part of a unified and high-performance team.
