Hi! I am Nolan Harris, a member of the class of 2025. I am from Oakdale, California and I currently attend Oakdale High School where I have a total GPA of 3.19 and am #1 on our golf team. Here are a few things about me... I have grown up playing the game of golf since I was old enough to hold a club. I grew up playing many sports along with golf. I played soccer, and basketball, wrestled, did gymnastics, and have always been active throughout childhood. Around age 10, I decided to give up all other sports and focus on golf. Since that decision I have played tournaments every year, year-round in many different junior golf associations. I play in JGANC, JTNC, FCG, and US Kids Golf tournaments here in California, Arizona, Nevada, and North Carolina.
Some of my biggest accomplishments in golf and academics are playing in the US Kids Golf World Teen Championships 3 different years and placing top 70 all 3 years. I have earned my academic block O for achieving a 4.0 GPA at the end of a semester. I am the 5x defending OGCC 18u Club Champion. I am 2x VOL All Leauge MVP and have made it to masters my freshman and sophomore years. I have extensive junior golf experience playing hundreds of tournaments and learning how to play in a pressure-filled environment. I currently have a handicap index of 1.0 and intend to become a scratch golfer by the end of this summer.
My lifelong goal has been to play college golf and then later, pursue my dream of playing on the PGA Tour. In college, I would like to study Fire Science/Fire Technology and earn my bachelor's degree in the field of firefighting. Firefighting has always been a plan in mind and I would love to be able to study a field I love while also playing the sport I love.
A couple of non-golf-related things about me are that I love playing instruments. I play guitar, drums, bass, and piano. I play the drums in my Church's Sunday morning and youth band. I also do a lot of work for people at our church. I do yard work, landscaping, housekeeping, and many more household tasks to help the members of my church. I am currently employed at America's Tire where I work as a Certified Service Technician. I believe that this helps me to use teambuilding skills and work well with others. Lastly, I enjoy fitness, I regularly work out to stay in shape for golf, work, and my everyday life. I love weight training and going for runs.
That's all about me, thank you for your time and consideration in me.
Thank you,
Nolan Harris 2025
