One of my earliest memories of golf is of receiving a blue, plastic golf club for Christmas when I was two years old. Along with my parents’ loving guidance and support, golf has become the one sport I am truly passionate about and the one sport for which I seem to have a natural gift. I have honed my skills throughout the years, not just through my own personal dedication, but with the help of professional coaches along the way. It is my dream to play college golf for a mid-sized school to pursue a degree in the biological sciences where my passion may be shared with like-minded fellow students and team members, and where I can continue to grow as a golfer and as a quality human being.
I am currently ranked #1 on my high school’s varsity golf team and have been highly-ranked on the varsity team since my freshman year. I have always been an extremely dedicated and loyal team member and, when the season begins spring 2015, I plan on offering my services as Team Captain. I am also a member of the Southern California PGA Junior Tour and have participated in numerous tournaments. My scoring average is 82 with my handicap at 6.2.
I am dedicated, hard-working, honest, considerate, and ethical. Considering my skills, my drive, and my positive personality characteristics, I strongly believe I would be an asset to your school.
