Jake Martin '18 Recruiting Profile

My proudest accomplishment in golf, was making the Varsity team as a sophomore at JSerra High School. My high school is very competitive, we had over 40 people competing for three spots on the Varsity team. I shot the best round.  on day one of try outs to secure my spot. My lowest point in golf was not being able to try out for the Varsity team my freshman year due to an injury the day before try outs. I worked hard and battled back to secure the number two spot on the JV team. This was a rebuilding year for me and it made me realize how much I want to continue to improve my golf game and how important this is to me.

I am passionate, hardworking and a little hard on myself sometimes. I think my sense of humor keeps me grounded. I would play every day if my school work were also not a big priority for me. It is my goal to play college golf at the highest level I can. I would love to hear from you to see if I would be a good fit on your team.
