Hello Coach!
I am Megh, a 5’9 Golf player in my junior year at Fremont High School in Sunnyvale, CA. I started learning golf at the First Tee Silicon Valley when I was 8 years old (in 2016), and my dad signed me up for classes. I have been playing golf for my Fremont High School team since my freshman year. I play golf games regularly at the Sunnyvale golf courses and also volunteer with First Tee to teach golf to other kids.
My USGA GHIN Number: 11992481 and my latest handicap index is around 13.3 and has ranged between 13 to 17 the past few months. I plan to participate in Golf tournaments in 2025.
In the Fall 2026, I would love to attend University that has good academics, while also having the opportunity to incorporate golf into my collegiate career. I am very competitive and a good candidate for any collegiate golf team. I also play many sports - football, basketball, table tennis, chess etc. I am willing to work hard to win and also to improve my golf game.
I am interested in pursuing a Bachelor degree in Computers, preferably Software Engineering / Artificial Intelligence with a sport scholarship. My current Weighted GPA: 3.4/ 4 and Cumulative GPA: 3.25/ 4.
You can find my golf video highlights: https://youtu.be/HRYPf6WTows and transcript on my NCSA Recruiting Profile.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Best Regards,
Megh Amit Shah
