Danny Torres '20 Recruiting Profile

I would be a great candidate for your team because I am willing and determined to get better at the sport I love. I am different from other athletes because no matter where I fall on the spectrum from other competitors I will drive myself to be as good or better than them. For example, I came in freshman year playing competitive golf for the first time, made the team, and lettered.  Sophmore year, I made it a goal to be the best on the team and I did.  On Maxpreps, I was awarded player of the game multiple times.  I also achieved 2nd team All-League.  I started the season in the middle of the group, but I used my drive and passion to get to the top.  I have learned work ethic and talent is better than talent and little work.  A part of my character is to look at the positives, to be a leader, and help what makes the team better.  Regarding my academics, I am determined to have a growth mindset to maintain a 3.5 GPA while I am also playing golf.   Learning isn't easy, I have to remind myself that in struggling I will grow.
