Ever since I can remember golf has been a part of my life. My dad would take me out with his friends, and they would teach me the sport. I got my first set of clubs for Christmas when I was five years old. I have been playing golf as long as I have been playing basketball and baseball but once I got to high school golf has now become my primary focus. Golf has taught me not only patience in everything I do but determination and how to overcome challenges.
Living in a rural area with many weather-related challenges has been difficult which means that I have to put in more time improving my game when the opportunity arises. My game has improved immensely from my freshman year giving me the MVP in my league my junior year. I look forward to my senior year as I lead Willits High School in taking back the Coastal Mountain Conference Northern Division title.
I would be honored to continue golfing at the college level. With my dedication and drive, academically I would like to major in Criminal psychology. I look forward to going to college and begin my journey.
