Luke Blankinship ...Personal Statement
My name is Luke Blankinship and I am a senior at Boulder High School in Boulder, CO. I have played golf for six years and I continue to try and improve by practicing almost every day. My golf game has progressed significantly in the last year through consistent and targeted practice and working with a great coach who has helped me with not only my swing, but my mental game as well. Also, I have been the top golfer on the varsity team the last three years, including finishing tied for 4th in the 2020 Colorado 5A State High School Tournament. I competed in the 2020 State Tournament as well as a sophomore. With the responsibility of being the number one golfer, I have used my leadership abilities to help the rest of my teammates improve. Besides golf, I have a 3.94 unweighted GPA, scored 1510 on the SAT, and I play trombone in my school's top jazz band and take private lessons outside of school. I can't wait for what the future holds and I look forward to working as hard as I can to improve!
