Mason Hill '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Mason Hill. I am a Junior at Broomfield High School in Broomfield, Colorado, and I compete as the number 1 on my golf team in the Colorado 4A classification. I have been golfing my whole life, but did not start to direct my attention competitively until the Summer of 2019. During that summer I began playing numerous tournaments and found a passion for the game - and a desire to improve that never seems to end. This love of golf brought me here, looking for an opportunity to play at the next level.  

This past season, I have seen my game take a big leap.  I qualified for the State Stroke Play hosted by the Colorado Golf Association with a 73 (+2). I had a number of competitive tournament finishes throughout the summer, culminating in my first win at a Colorado PGA event with a 67(-5) at Thorncreek golf course. During high school season, I shot a 69 (-3) to finish second at our League Championship, followed by a Top 20 at the State Championship.  Most recently I shot a 2-day score of (+4) to finish T7 in the season ending Colorado PGA Invitational, which I was invited to as a result of finishing as a top points earner throughout the summer. 

My focus does not end on the golf course, it extends to the classroom as well. To this point, I have earned a 4.2 weighted GPA, all while taking Honors courses - and I am a member of National Honor Society. In my household, school has always and will always be priority number one. When I am not at the course or in the classroom, I enjoy basketball and soccer. I played these sports competitively for 10 years, but when I began competitive golf it became hard to find time for all of them. One final thing that I do in my free time is spend hours volunteering at my church - which gives me an opportunity to connect with my community.

College golf is a big goal of mine, and having the opportunity to play at the next level is something I think about often. Thanks in advance for your interest and I look forward to connecting with you.
