Austin Preiss '12 Recruiting Profile

I am an all around athlete and have been playing both golf and table tennis competitively since I was six years old. I finished 1st in the middle school championships in Colorado Springs and played my first two years of high school golf as the number one spot on J.V. I have been working non-stop to improve my golf game and finished number one on my golf team during tryouts this year. I finished 6th in the metro league standings, top 15 in the regional qualifiers, and 11th in state missing all state by only one stroke. My golf career as a high school golfer is getting stronger everyday and I have a goal to make the Nationwide or PGA tour. I understand how hard the playing field is but I am not afraid to do whatever it takes to be the best. I also believe I have an advantage under pressure as I am also a 9 Time National table tennis champion. As a high school golf captain, I understand the responsibility of holding a team together and encouraging other to be the best they can be. I would like to go to school anywhere that would have a great golf program also allowing me to excel in academics. I am open to all types of colleges, especially the ones where I can obtain a scholarship. My family also has financial needs. My desired major is international business and public relations. My goals for collegiate level golf is to play in a college that will allow me to play as much competitive golf as I can, help my collegiate golf team finish top in standings, and give myself an opportunity to turn professional.
