When I was first introduced to golf I was only three years old. I am the youngest in my family, with my closest sibling being my brother who is 20 months older than me and was so much better than me. This gave me a drive to always want to do whatever I needed to be better than him. Once I achieved this, the drive that I learned continued and still continues into trying to be better than anyone else. This has become one of the strong parts of my game because it has shown me that I not only need to practice hard to be able to be better but I also need to grind on the course so that I can be better. With this drive I have earned nine top tens and has led to 3 wins in the past year. I have this same drive while I'm in the classroom.
One of the first golf tournament programs I ever did was with the First Tee Players Club when I was eight years old. For the past couple of years I have been volunteering with the First Tee Youth Leadership Council. Our main goal is to help kids get into golf and learn to play but we also help local families in need with school supplies and getting a good meal on Thanksgiving.
I'm looking for a school where I can be part of a community, I want to continue to expand the game that I am blessed to be playing. My goal is to find a college where I can continue to grow my academics and my golf game.
