Personal Statement

I started playing golf at the age of 7. Ever since I picked up a club, I have fallen in love with the game. Both my Grandpa and Great Grandpa have heavily influenced my love in golf, as both have played their whole life. I first joined a PGA Jr League team at the age of 10 and went on to be a captain and a regional all star when I was 13 years old. At 11 years old I played in my first ever 9 hole tournament. I went on to shoot a 37 (+2) and finished in 2nd place. From that point on I knew I wanted to push to be the best version of myself and to pursue my dreams in playing golf at the collegiate level.

I bring leadership, discipline and a hard work ethic to every team I play on. This is the same in my academics, as I am a straight A student and maintained a 3.91 GPA throughout my freshmen year while taking honors and AP classes. As I am still in my first season of high school golf, I know I still have a lot to learn and will have to overcome many obstacles throughout my career. My scores will continue to improve over these next 4 years, and I know I will be a good candidate for any collegiate team.
