Lorenzo Cantarel '25 Recruiting Profile

Being in and around the world of golf is my number one goal for my future, even beyond college. My game has consistently improved year after year, hitting milestones on a relatively consistent basis. While my game may not necessarily be where I want it at the moment, I have shown that I can put the time and the effort in to improve and make skill jumps consistently, and this has shown no signs of slowing down. Currently, I am a mid 70s player, happy to shoot around par but anything over 80 would be a disappointment. Looking forward, I truly believe that it is realistic for me to consistently be in the low 70s before the start of my senior year of high school based on my track. I would bring many things to the table in a collegiate team; these include someone who is a good leader, consistently strong golfer, and one of the most dedicated players on any team, as can be shown by my hours on the course or at the range. I am someone who is completely willing to sacrifice anything if it means improving my game and being on the course, improving my game is by far my favorite thing to do. Academically, I am a very strong tester, passing all of my AP tests comfortably and scoring in the 90th percentile on my first PSAT despite little preparation. I also love writing essays and articles, particularly on subjects that I connect with and enjoy, such as sports. Overall, I am someone who truly loves and breathes golf like very few people in the world do, and am completely prepared to put in any amount of work necessary for me to accomplish my goals, all reasons that I would be a great addition to any collegiate program anywhere in the country.
